ChemSec maintain a very close dialogue with companies, sharing experiences and best practices for chemicals management. We also give examples and guidance on how substituting hazardous chemicals with safer alternatives is both technically and economically feasible.

We have created the SIN List, a list of chemicals that we have identified as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) based on the criteria established by the EU chemicals regulation, REACH.

In collaboration with three partner organisations, ChemSec also manages SUBSPORT, a platform for exchanging information about alternative substances and technologies, as well as providing tools and guidance for substance evaluation and substitution management.

In the sphere of public policy and chemicals legislation ChemSec aim for fast and effective implementation of REACH, so that hazardous chemicals are properly regulated in the EU.Through consultations and discussions, ChemSec contributes to the work of the European Commission and the European Chemicals Agency, ECHA.
